Chau Captures Breaker’s Spooktacular 9-ball

Manuel “Javier” Chau captured the Breaker’s Spooktacular 9-ball Tournament title by defeating Ryan McCreesh. The tournament was held at Breaker’s Billiards in Pittsburgh, PA on October 27-28.
A strong field of 32 billiard players started Saturday’s action. By evening, only 8 players were left. Notable players like Howard Vickery, Gary “Bushwhacker” Nolan, and “Suga” Shane Hennen were sent home out of the money.
On the winner’s side in semi-final matches Javier defeated Ryan McCreesh and Alex Olinger beat Shane Jackson. Final winners’ side match was won by Javier over Alex while Ryan McCreesh was eliminating Shane Jackson. Ryan then went on to beat Alex by a score of 7 – 3 to set up a rematch with Javier for the top spot. Both played very well with the lead changing hands several times, but Javier edged out the win out by a score of 10 – 8.
