McDermott All American Tour cue Masters Billiards
The eighth stop of the 2007/2008 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted at cue Masters Billiards in Dubuque, IA, on Saturday, October 27. The $500 added event drew twenty-one players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.

12-year old Chad Behnke (Farley, IA) ran undefeated to the finals. In the hot-seat match, Behnke (rated a “3” on a regional handicap system used) clipped Don Boll [3] (Dubuque, IA) 3-1. Earlier in the A-bracket semi-finals, Behnke dispatched Mike Rohner [3] (Dubuque, IA) 3-1, while Boll eclipsed Ron Pluym [4] (Dubuque, IA) 3-3. In the B-side bracket quarterfinals Mike Rohner eliminated Bob McDonald [4] (Dubuque, IA) at 5th place by a 3-2 margin, while Ron Pluym ousted John Sprague [3] (Clinton, IA) 4-0 at the same placement. In the B-side semifinals Rohner upset Pluym 3-1, and Rohner was further successful in the B-side bracket finals by ousting Don Boll 3-1. Young Chad Behnke’s skills belied his age, and he took control of the tourney finals immediately to dispatch Mike Rohner 3-1 for the title.
