Poison Donates 100 Percent Of Pink Ribbon Profits During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Players’ Cue Purchases In October Give Extra Support For A Cure

Poison will donate 100 Percent of Pink Ribbon profits from the sales of their billiard cues during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Poison will donate 100 Percent of Pink Ribbon profits from the sales of their billiard cues during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Poison Products is donating 100 percent of profits made in October on its Pink Ribbon cues toward breast cancer research initiatives, in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the U.S.

The Pink Ribbon line, with Cyanide and VX designs, was created to let pool players around the world show their support for a breast cancer cure while doing something they love: playing pool. Donations from Poison Pink Ribbon purchases go toward disease education and screening, scientific research, and aid for patients suffering from the disease.

“Breast cancer affects many of our loved ones,” says Philippe Singer, Poison Products VP of Sales and Marketing, “and people everywhere deserve a fair fight against it. We see the Pink Ribbon cues as a small but important way for Poison, and Poison players, to help in that fight.”

The Cyanide Pink Ribbon cue is pearlescent pink with HD™ black rubber stripe grips. The VX Pink Ribbon cue is a three-piece play/break/jump cue with a GTX® high-tack grip. Both cues are marked with a pink ribbon accent and have grips that are designed for players who hold their cue tighter; high-traction grips like HD™ and GTX® encourage looser grips and in turn, steadier and straighter shots.

Every month Poison donates a percentage of all profits from the new Pink Ribbon cues toward breast cancer research initiatives. This month, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are donating 100% of our profits to the cause.

Poison Products makes cutting-edge cues that utilize exclusive Double Density™ Technology in its Venom™ Shaft for improved accuracy and best-in-class-playability. Poison is located in Jacksonville, Florida, USA and sells cues worldwide.

Stacie Bourbeau won three straight 7-4 victories to complete an undefeated day at the New England Women’s Tour stop.

Stacie Bourbeau tallied three straight 7-4 victories to complete an undefeated day at the New England Women’s Tour stop September 28. The $250-added, WPBA qualifier event drew 16 entrants to Silver Cue Billiards in Woburn, MA.

Among the winners’ side final four, Bourbeau tallied the first of her 7-4 victories over Wendy Snow as Liz Taylor was defeating Diana Howland 7-1. Bourbeau and Taylor battled for the hot seat, with Bourbeau recording her second 7-4 win.

On the one-loss side, it was Nicole Albergaria and Bonnie Saritelli who emerged from the final eight over there to face Howland and Snow. Albergaria had defeated Janet Tycks 7-2 and Erica Testa 7-5 before facing Howland. Saritelli won a double-hill battle over Tam Trinh and defeated Nicole Christie 7-3 for the right to face Snow. Albergaria advanced to the quarterfinals with a commanding shut-out victory over Howland, as Snow concluded Saritelli’s tournament bid 7-3.

Albergaria took one step closer to the finals with a 7-2 victory over Snow before falling to Taylor in the hill-hill semifinal match. Taylor moved back for a second crack at Bourbeau.

In the finals, Bourbeau and Taylor traded racks to a 4-4 tie, battling with defense through the ninth game that put Bourbeau ahead 5-4. Taylor made a spectacular jump shot in the subsequent rack that opened the door to a potential 5-5 tie but missed her next shot to turn the table over to Bourbeau, who closed it to reach the hill and then finish it, for the third time in a row, at 7-4.

Results:

3rd Nicole Albergaria
4th Wendy Snow
5th Diana Howland

Three cushion billiards is played where one point, or billiard, is scored by sending your assigned ball (either white or yellow) into some combination of three rails and both other balls, ending with the hit on the last ball. For instance, one may score by hitting your cue ball (white) into the yellow, traveling three rails or more, and hitting the red. Or, you could travel three or more rails and hit both of the other balls. Etc.
