Parent Company of Aramith Acquires the C.L. Bailey Co.
The Armand Capital Group, a Chicago private equity firm and parent company of Belgium-based Saluc SA, maker of the famous Aramith billiard balls (www.aramith.com), has acquired the C.L. Bailey Co., a Marionville, MO, manufacturer and distributor of pool tables, gameroom furniture, and billiard accessories. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Mike Davis turned away all challengers at the March 3-4 stop of the Blaze 9-ball Tour to put another notch on his illustrious belt. Hosted by Ivory Billiards in York, PA, this event drew 35 of the area’s top players, including Shaun Wilkie, Ryan McCreesh, and Eddie Abraham.

World 8-ball Pool Championships Day FiveFujairah, UAE

There is more to a World Championship in Fujairah than just playing matches. On Monday all players were given the day off and treated to a very unique experience. They were taken out to the Arabian desert and driven in Land Rover’s across the dunes. The vehicles sped up the dunes and would then slide down the other side until the drivers gunned the engines to gain momentum for the next ascent. It is the roller coaster of the desert.
