The results have named exclusive official product sponsorships to: Olhausen Billiard Mfg. (table), cue-Tec (cue), Championship Billiard cloth / Tour Edition (cloth), Super Aramith Pro (ball), plus awarded the closed captioning sponsorship to PoolDawg.com and an arena sponsorship to the American Poolplayers Association.

Japanese Poolplayers Association Forming Teams in Tokyo
LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO (January 23, 2007) — The world’s largest amateur pool league is expanding oversees to Japan. In late-December, the American Poolplayers Association (APA) granted Noriyuki Nanjo approval to begin promoting and administering APA Leagues in Tokyo as the Japanese Poolplayers Association (JPA).

Billiard Education Foundation Hires Executive Director Laura Smith to Take Command of BEF

Lafayette, Colorado: The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) has announced that they have just hired Laura Smith as their new executive director. Smith, a trustee on the BEF board since November 2002 and a player on the Women’s Professional Billiard Association (WPBA), will begin immediately at the BEF office in Lafayette, CO.

McDermott All American Hits Las Vegas cue Club
The January 19-21 weekend featured four 2006/2007 McDermott All American Tour stops around the country, one of them being a $500 added 8-ball event with thirty players, hosted by owner Henry Nogiec and director Greg Kuhl at the Las Vegas cue Club in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday.
The American CueSports Alliance-produced event featured a double-elimination format on Global 7-footers, and Henry Nogiec ran undefeated to the finals. In the hot-seat match, Nogiec – rated a “6” on a local handicap system used - outpointed Edgar Jackson , rated a “5”, 6-2.
