The United States Snooker Association (USSA), established in 1991 in Chicago, Illinois, is the non-profit governing body for the sport of snooker in the USA as recognized by the International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF), the world governing body of non-professional snooker.  Now headquartered in Santa Clara, California, the USSA is pleased to announce the 2014-2015 edition of the popular “USSA National Snooker Tour.” Each event is open to any individual player except for professional snooker players competing on the World Snooker Main Tour; however players must be a member of their respective national snooker governing body or alternatively non US-players can become an associate member of the USSA for a $25 annual membership fee paid onsite at their first event.

The expanded, 12-stop Tour kicks off with a handicapped tournament – the $300-added Prince Snooker Classic – at Prince Club in Brooklyn NY, November 22-23; followed the next weekend by a stop at the Houston Snooker Club in Houston TX, November 28-30.  Sponsors of the Tour include Aramith, Tweeten, Sterling Gaming and Ozone Billiards.

The USSA traditionally sends its National Champion to the IBSF World Snooker Championships. National Champions are determined at the annual United States National Snooker Championship, with the 2015 Championship to be conducted at a yet-to-be-determined venue over Memorial Day weekend.  The current National Champion is Ajeya Prabhakar, who won his second title at Top 147 in Brooklyn NY back in May.
