Billiard Factory World Summit of Pool Begins

64 top notch pro players are signed on to compete in the 4th Annual Billiard Factory World Summit of Pool at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. The event, formerly held in Manhattan, NY, has been relocated to the western region of the US due in part to the efforts of event producers Dragon Promotions. The event is held in conjunction with the ACS National Championships boasting over 1500 players.
The east coast has so many great events already, the west coast really needs a boost of major pro events. This was a great opportunity for us. , explained Cindy Lee, President of Dragon Promotions.

Fans will be able to enjoy some key marquee match ups tomorrow including Hong Kong’s Lee Chenman against USA’s Tony Crosby (both players former U.K. residents), and Finland’s great Mika Immonen against Canadian Filipino Edwin Montal. The big match up of the day will be USA’s Reigning US Open Champ John Schmidt versus Former World 9-Ball Champion Alex Pagulayan of the Philippines. Later marquee match predictions could see USA’s current #1 Cory Deuel against newly crowned World 10-Ball Champion Shane Van Boening possibly in the third round.

Olhausen Championship Tables will be used on Simonis 860 cloth and Super Aramith TV balls. Billiard Factory will be offering fans a chance to purchase the pro tables after the event at a reduced price of $3500 versus the normal retail price of $6000. This includes balls, cues, and installation. Please contact Billiard Factory Las Vegas at (702) 437-0970.

ESPN will televise the Quarter, Semi, and Finals matches on Saturday June 16,2007. Tickets for all the matches from June 13-16 can be bought at the front entrance of the pro arena in the main ballroom of the Riviera Hotel.
