With Slaughter’s 7-2 defeat of Keeney, he reached the hot seat match, where he faced off against David Styers, who had just won over Shawn Padgett 7-3. It was another lopsided win for Slaughter, as he notched a 7-3 victory to await a finals opponent.

From the west side, Keeney made her way back, eliminating James Council in fifth place 7-4. Tying with Council was Josh Roberts, who was ousted by Padgett 7-7. Keeney and Padgett went head to head in the next round, with Keeney eking out a hill-hill, 7-6 win.

Next Keeney had to face Styers, who had just suffered his first loss in the hot seat match to Slaughter. Exhibiting a great deal of determination, she sent Styers packing 7-2 to earn a rematch with Slaughter. The double-elimination final match saw Keeney claim the first set 7-3 and the second by the even more uneven score of 7-1 to take the title.
