WPBA U.S. Open quarterfinals to begin today

The WPBA U.S. Open 9-Ball continues today at the River Spirit Casino in Tulsa today as ESPN cameras tape the action. Eight women remain including 2011 champion Allison Fisher, who looked in command on her way to the quarterfinals.

Also in contention will be Monica Webb who breezed through her round three double elimination match 9-1, and then in a thrilling 9-8 battle against Melissa Herndon. Jeanette Lee competes in the round of eight also after a close 9-7 win over the “Texas Tornado” Vivian Villarreal and another close victory over Taiwan’s Jennifer Chen, 9-8.

The WPBA U.S. Open 9-Ball continues today at the River Spirit Casino in Tulsa today as ESPN cameras tape the action.

The action gets underway today at 1 p.m. and here are the quarterfinal match-ups:

• 1 p.m. – Allison Fisher vs. Helena Thornfeldt
• 3 p.m. – Brittany Bryant vs. Monica Webb
• 6 p.m. – Line Klorsvik vs. Jeanette Lee
• 8 p.m. – Gerda Hofstetter vs. Mary Rakin

• Sunday, June 10, 1 p.m.
ESPN Semifinals and Final.

The quarter final, semi final and final matches will be taped by ESPN for seven one-hour national broadcasts, airing Saturday, July 14, (Quarterfinals 12-4 p.m. on ESPN2) and Sunday, July 15, (Semifinals/Final 1-4 p.m. on ESPN2).
