The best shooters in the region are at the Seminole Pro Tour’s $7,000-added event this weekend, with Mike Davis, Corey Deuel, and Rodney Morris leading the pack. The tournament is being hosted by Diamond Billiards in Cape Coral, FL, and features a full 64-player field of the top names in billiards.

Davis was on fire at his first day at the event, whitewashing Hans Berber 7-0 and Kelly Lake 7-0.

He allowed former tour champion Donny Mills two racks in the race to 7 before he sent Mills to the one-loss side. Davis’s next match will be against Mike Dechaine, who has bested Richard Broumpton 7-2 and Jeremy Sossei 7-5.

Rodney Morris, who won the tour’s Hollywood, CA, event, is also still alive, having defeated Jimmy Hines 7-0, John Rause 7-4, and Stephen Richmond 7-2. In his next match he will face Mario Cruz.

Two other threats in the winners’ bracket are Shane Van Boening and Corey Deuel. Van Boening dispatched Tony “The Sniper” Crosby in the first round hill-hill and then went on to defeat Gorden Van Der Veer 7-2 and Anthony Meglino 7-4. Deuel bested Robb Saez in the first round 7-3 and then sent both Mike Patton and Jerry Calderon to the one-loss side 7-2 and 7-6, respectively. Van Boening and Deuel will face each other in the next round.
